I got my date today!!!

Well, I went for my first consultation today and I got my date.....July 17th, two weeks from today! I'm gonna be a July Butterfly! I was so scared there would be some reason that the surgeon would say no, but now that he has said yes and set the date, I'm scared to death! I know I'm doing the right thing for my health, its just that I've never had surgery before so I guess you could say fear of the unknown. I've been on here for a month now and I have read almost everything I possibly can so I have ALOT more knowledge than I would have, so that gives me comfort and knowing I'm not alone is really nice. I'll definitely be on here as soon as I can after surgery to update (and of course I'll be on here religiously everyday until then).

Are you self pay or were you pre approved through your insurance?

I was approved through insurance.

Don't worry about anything. I have never had surgery before either until this band. I am a week out and have lost 19lbs with the 2 week pre-op diet and surgery. I have not regreted doing this for one minute, and I know you won't either. In a year, you will be soooo.... glad you did this.
