Talking Hi from Sydney, Australia

My name is Angela and Im being banded on the 20th of October. It seems to be coming around very quick and Im very nervous!!
Not so much about the operation itself as i've spent quite a bit of time on operating tables/hospitals! More the recovery at home with 2 year old twins.

My best friend will be helping but she has 8 weeks of a pregnancy to go and she is struggling with the heat and its only going to get hotter!

How long before other mums were able to do "normal" mum things like cleaning, changing nappies, bathing etc?

I suppose I should also ask for any feedback on Royal North Shore Private in Sydney from anyone who has had their band done with Dr. Garrett Smith?

TIA Angela

Re: Hi from Sydney, Australia

Conrats on your banding date, I too am from sydney but was done at Nepean Private, as far as being able to change nappies and things like that, and house work, by day 3 i was feeling alot better, and was driving and running errands, doing shopping and things like that, by day 5 you will be basically back to normal. obviously still a little sore in the port site, and you cant do any heavy lifting for around 6 weeks, but as far as cooking and light house duties you will be fine, I am 7 weeks today and have lost 13kgs, good luck, dont stress, it is worth it. jo.
