Also, when did everyone go back to work? |
I was a diet pepsi drinker and an avid coffee drinker. Both of which I gave up 2 weeks before my surgery. I just kept telling myself that if I wanted this to work, I would have to give it up. I just found something else that replaced it. I went to Decaf. Iced tea. Now I drink Crystal Light which is awesome. I did go through the detox from the soda and coffee because of the caffeine but it wasn't that bad. I have read that some doctors allow the soda. Mine said no carbonation whatsoever because it will cause problems down the road. You have to find another crutch to take the place of your soda. And if you are serious about the LAP-BAND® journey then you have to make a small sacrifice for a bigger reward.
I had my surgery on a Friday and went back to work the following Tuesday. I was very tired but I made it through the day. I have a desk job though. It all depends on what type of job you have.
Good luck to you and CONTRATULATIONS on starting your journey soon.
