I only wish my insurance covered the procedure, but that just adds extra incentive when it comes out of my own bank account.

My surgery is scheduled for Oct. 11th and I, too, have to pay out of pocket - to the tune of $17,500. UGH!
Maybe you and I can partner up and let each other know how we are doing and all that.
