Another newbie from TX!

Hello to all--I am so glad I found this site! I was banded on 9/15/08, after a pretty short process, since I was self pay. It hurt a little handing over all that money up front, but I feel it's well worth it. I have been waiting for so long to have this done and I finally thought, what the hell, just do it. I am excited that I've found this group as well, because I do not know of any support groups in my area. I feel that I need support right now, and I've been reading a lot of other people's threads, which have answered a lot of my questions. I just learned about PBs, which my doctor never told me about. Umm...I hope I never get those, it sounds disgusting, and the visual I have about them is quite terrible. Anyway, I am excited (I apparently have a lot of excitement tonight!) about getting to know people on here!

Thanks for the welcome! I actually went with Dr. Fass of Southwest Bariatric Clinic, but I've heard good things about Dr. Marquez. Good luck to you, I hope things go great!!
