When did your swelling go down?

One thing that disappointed me after banding is the huge amount of swelling in my belly. I mean, I look pregnant - I'm beginning teaching in the new school year in two weeks and the kids are definitely going to think I'm pregnant. How long did it take your swelling to go away? Did you use Spanx or something to minimize the look of it?

I wish I could help but I was just banded yesterday so you know I am still swollen. But when you find out I would like to know.

The fifth day for me was magical. I could drink full liquids without any pain or pressure and the swelling went way down. It's different for everyone, but I suggest you walk and move as much as possible which is what the NP suggested I do.

i was at about day 4 when i saw a huge dif in the swelling!!!!

I am 6 days post op. I am still a little swollen, but definetly much smaller than right after surgery
