Upper abdominal tightness

I was banded 7/01/09 and am doing pretty well except I can't seem to get rid of the gas. But my question is has anyone experience upper abdominal tightness that when you try to stand upright it feels like it is pulling and if you stand too straigt you might rip it. Any help?

Yea, I remember feeling that sensation you just described. I think it's probably going to get better with each passing day. You've just had surgery and everything in that area has been a little traumatized. Go easy on yourself and work on just getting better. :)

8/13/09 first fill - 5cc

I had the same feeling. It went away after about 3 weeks. I think it's caused by the swelling pulling on the stitches around the band a little. I'm sure yours will go away too after you've healed a little more. I'm just over 5 weeks post-op and don't have any of the questionable tugging, pressure feelings that I had right after surgery.
