Feels so good to cut and chew food again!

Sitting here having some tomato basil chicken and it feels so great to actually cut it and chew it.

One thing I don't fully understand though and could use some help if there is any. I had my first fill yesterday. At first I was really tight but after about 4 hours I could get some yogurt down. Now today I'm famished. I started back on pureed foods this morning and just ate my first real food for dinner. Why would I be more hungry now that I've had a fill than I was the day before the fill?

Ezma, after you get a fill, usually your tummy is a bit irritated from having it and a bit of swelling may occur. Most doctors have their patients on liquids for a bit after a fill.

For many people, it takes as long as a week or two for their fills to really kick in. The other thing to remember is just because you have had a fill, you may not have much restriction yet. Sometimes it takes two or three fills before one reaches their "sweet spot".

Ezma, I am in the same boat that u r in. My first fill didn't seem to make a difference in my hunger. I am trying really hard to just maintain my loss at this point. I am really concentrating on non-scale victories. I hope your, and my, next fill adds some restriction. Good luck to you!

Think things are starting to settle down a bit for me now. I do get very hungry about an hour before meal time. My doctor did want me to do 4 small meals instead of 3 but I haven't found a way to work in 4 yet.

Cantweight2go - hope things are getting better for you too. When is your next fill scheduled for?

Susan4794 - thanks for the encouragement to hang in there, think I'm gonna make it now :)

Ezma, my next fill is on April 28th. I am hoping for at least 3cc's again. When is your next fill? Keep me posted. Good luck to you!

My next fill is on 5-13-08 but he said I could come in two weeks earlier if I really wanted a fill sooner. I don't know how much he filled me. He said he doesn't tell cause people tend to get obsessive about their fills. Think I could have pushed him but it's really not a big deal to me as long as it works. How are things going for you?
