Did you have any restriction in the solid food pre-fill phase?

I'm at my solid food phase, but my first fill is in another week.

When you were in this position, did you feel full faster and stay full longer?

When I eat, I get full really quickly and stay full a long time (I'm eating 3 very small meals a day), so I don't think I really require a fill yet (I'm loosing a pound a day).

What was your experiance?

yes.....first fill for me was 6 months postOp....

My surgeon's indications for fill were these:

1) how long before hunger?
2) are you still losing?

IMHO, there is no reason to hurry fills if those two goals are being satisfied at current level.

Discuss with your surgeon, it would be hard to improve on that status.

No, you don't need a fill. That is a tremendous loss. You have good restriction. Any more and you would be too tight. You don't want that! Eventually you might want more food and stop losing. Then look into getting a fill.

I was like you, I had restriction for about 12 weeks after my op, and I had my first fill then. And in hindsight I cant say I *really* needed it THEN either, I was still losing.

I had good ristriction for about 6 weeks then it became spotty. Some days I'll have better restriction then other days. Didn't get a fill at my first appt, and will be getting a fill next appt. Thank goodness! That's great that anyone can still retain good retriction after 6 months. I think maybe its really a mental thing? We chose to eat better so it works better? This is my theory. But I am ready for a fill now
