I had a bit of that too when we started walking right after the surgery. It seemed like a month I wasn't loosing but of course it was only 1 1/2 weeks. My husband and I walk 30 min 6 days a week and now we're at 2 month point we've changed it to 2 times a week with the exercise room and one day swimming pool with the kids - who knee just walking in the pool for 1 hr would be so hard. Don't be so hard on yourself, I was and then I dropped like 3 lbs in a day and after that I was slowly on my way down. Remember lapbanders don't lose weight as quickly as gastric bypass people. I had my surgery 2/28 and have lost about 41 lbs and my husband had his 3/6 and has lost about 55 lbs - both are above average loses. We just got our first fill done. I've never used the protein calculator but we were told you needed 50-60 grams of protein for a woman 5'9" and shorter and 60-70 grams for taller women and for men per day. Good luck on your weight journey.

Same thing happened to me, but when I stopped loosing weight I stopped loosing for more than a month!!! I had gotten down about 25 pounds or so and from March third until the first week of April I didnt loose a single pound. I upped my protein in a major way I wasnt able to eat enough so Istarted on protein shakes (from around 40gms to 80-90gms) and the weight started to come off again.

It may be the protein, it may not, we are all different but try playing with your diet a bit. Add more protein for a week or so, if it doesnt work try adding more fibre also.

Congrats on the weight loss so far, keep me updated on your fills (I havent had one yet either so we should be sailing once we get some restriction).

you are doing great. get rid of the scale, muscle weights more than fat. you body is getting used to the band. I am trying to walk by the scale and pretend its not there. I am at a stall on the scale, but cloths are fitting better, (my pants fell off at work going down the stairs) I was embarred but happy.
good luck

Thank you all for the info...

I have been away from the forum for a bit - working out takes like waaaay more time than I expected. lol

(I hate every minute of working out - does anyone have a fix for that??? Acccck!)

I have lost a couple of pounds, but now my "friend" is visiting so I might not lose much if anything this week. However, clearly my body is changing - my pants looked utterly ridiculous today and I almost killed myself coming down the stairs at work becuase the pants were slipping down around my hips. This made them too long and I got my feet caught in my own pantlegs! Good grief - embarrassing but funny.

Anyway - I'm hoping things will change more drastically when I get my fill in two weeks. I'm pretty much able to eat larger amounts of food than I expect I should. Still haven't cheated but it sure gets pretty difficult sometimes.

What activities do you enjoy? Find a way to incorporate them into your workout so it isn't so yucky for you
