Chicken Salad???

On my post op paperwork from my Dr. it states I can have chicken salad this week. I am two weeks post op. But I keep reading on this site that chicken has to be pureed and not chopped. I am confused how I would make chicken salad that way. I opened a can of chicken, added mayo and some cranberries. I put them in my chopper and chopped the heck out of them. It was very smooth. Was this ok???

probably so.....it went down easily? I was taught that 'mushy' stage was anything that was pureed....

It sure adds a lot of variety to the diet....

My husband grills chicken breast for me then takes my food choopper from Pampered Chef and chops it up. I then mix light mayo with it and voila a mushy chicken salad. I am not sure I would call it pureed but it goes down well and the taste is yummy. I have to fight the rest of the family for it.

That is how I have been making it. My pampered chef chopper has gotten a lot of use! THANKS FOR THE INPUT!
