| My hair loss began at about 4-5 months post op and lasted for about 6 months, it got pretty thin, like you I already had thin hair so that was not welcome!!! I had lost all my hair before due to chemo---and this was no where near that drastic, but I was on the verge of considering wigs----because I felt the top was see through. About that time, the top seemed less thin, and the hair was coming back. It grew in quickly really---and I wear my hair fairly long, and now it is back to almost the full length, it is back enough my ponytail is thick again.....I keep the straggly ends trimmed off as it grows out. I tried everything--I kept my protein up, kept healthy fats in my diet, took biotin, and zinc....used folicure shampoo----nothing seemed to help. Finally I quit, and accepted it, and soon it stopped, so not sure if stress was exacerbating it or not!! Good Luck---it DOES grow back and is worth the few months of thinning----grab a hat and go shopping for smaller clothes!! Kat
