| I was happy to see how many people were on the 100+ list. I was a little disappointed when leaving my doctor's office with them telling me... you need to be 135 lbs, however, we see that with the lap band, you will realistically be 200 lbs. I was saying to myself... what am I going to go through this for? Well, I guess it's better to be 200 than it is to be 300+ so I went ahead with being banded. I just read this thread 2 days post-op and am encouraged that I will make my goal, which is 150 lbs.

It is not only possible, it will happen for you! Keep a positive attitude, do everything they tell you, and work the band as hard as you can (especially in the first 6 months), and most importantly...have patience. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.:)

Bless each of you for encouraging those of us who are considering the lap band. I spent way too much time reading the complications thread, and got scared. The pictures, the notes, the progress reports are sooo powerful and positive.
