| "Water weight" loss may be.....
;) .....something else.....
Consider the contents of the loooong tubes called the 'small intestine' and 'large intestine'.....
....they fill up, to a greater or lesser extent, with 'water' and 'food' in process of digestion....
....and these have both volume and weight.... ;)
The actual amount varies due to a number of factors. These are pliable muscular tubes which can expand in cross section depending on the volume of bolus ....but it is not unusual to have 10-15# of 'bolus' along the course of the digestive tract....
....and when we decrease intake for a period of time....there still is that bolus transiting the colon....
years ago I worked up to a total fast for 27 days and STILL was passing certain materials... :rolleyes
so the lag time in 'loosing weight' AFTER resuming comsuption of solid food by rights SHOULD allow for the relative refilling of the digestive tract....
AFTER we decrease that volume and weight of colon contents w/a restrictive and mostly liquid diet, we are 'recharging the circuit' with the solids....not to worry.... :laugh just make sure it's GOOD stuff...... like whippledaddy's 'pumpkin pie broth' :laugh :laugh :laugh
