Trouble

I had my surgery last month and my 1st fill will be December 10th. I currently can eat much more than I thought I could since having the surgery. I do get full sooner that I normally would have before the band but I can eat much more than a 1/2 a cup to a cup of food. Is this normal until you get a fill? I'm scared I may be damaging my pouch even though i'm not really getting full. Has anyone else had this issue?

Totally normal- I was worried to for a while but by my third fill I realised what real restriction felt like. Hang in there chick - this is why they call it bandster hell :O)

Also you are doing really well with your weight loss sodon't panic too much - in all happens in due course and as long as you stop eating once you feel full or have your 'soft stop' you will be fine.

What you are going through is completely normal. It is referred to around here frequently as bandster hell. You have a perfectly good band not doing much for you at this point. I liken it to buying a new car, and then having no gas!

When you can begin the fill process, and find some restriction it will allow you to begin working with the bands help.
This is where you go back to using your self control, and hoping the days speed by! Seriously though, do yoru best to make good food choices, and know that it IS normal, and will change when the band it put to work.

Welcome to bandland and welcome to LBT!
Kat

ps I see we have similar great taste in our tickers!!

Thanks for the encouragement I really appreciate it! I was so worried that something just wasn't right. I'm trying to keep in mind to go slow and not look at the scale but gosh it's hard. I know I shouldn't be looking at the scale in hopes that the pounds will just melt off but I feel kind of in a rut. Hopefully once I get a fill I will notice a difference.
Thanks!

Happy Holidays!!! :)

It all comes down to how much you are losing. If you only eat 1/2 cup of food and still lose I would keep it that way. If not, you may want a slight fill. Good luck.
