You should be able to take medications. It is recommended that you stay away from aspirin and ibuprofen as they are stomach irritants, and tylenol is recommended. I personally prefer the liquid tylenol, I have a weird thing about pills in generally since hearing that a lot of them go through the digestive tract pretty much intact... what a waste!
I have also read that if you must take aspirin/ibuprofen, or choose to, then you should wash them down with lots of water to ensure that they do not hang around in your pouch and burn holes in your pouch lining.
If you're not sure whether a pill/capsule will go through, check and see if it can be crushed (do not crush time release medications!). You should have no probs with crushed medications. Again, if it's aspirin/ibuprofin or another NSAID, be sure to flush them through with plenty of water.
I haven't heard any problems with reflux tablets.
