Unhappy Soothing a swollen tummy

I had my second fill yesterday and it swelled me up waaay too tight. I couldn't even get down water! Went today to get an unfill and my dr made me finish a glass of water in the office to be sure that I could get it down.

So I went back home and tried to drink some milk. What a mistake! It irritated my stomach and it swelled shut! Now I can't get water down again!

My stomach is notoriously sensitive and has had major problems with swelling shut in the past.

Do any of you have any ideas for soothing a swollen tummy so that it calms down and let's me drink?

Thank you!!

Well....I had my first fill, a big one, and managed to PB earlier today. Ew. I was SO hungry but SO swollen.

I tried some warm decaf green tea and that helped soothe things a lot. Warm helps the swelling, helps open you up. Give it a shot.

Time, very very tiny small barely there sips, patience, and warm. I also found that Propel or Gatorade (not too chilled, or room temp) went down a little better than plain water. I, too, am a sweller. I can't stand that but time does make it better. Go easy, go back to post-surgery drinking. Good luck!

small sips of warm liquids, colder liquids will tighten you up where as warmer liquids will open you up..try some hot chamomile tea, it is very soothing..sip slowly

i have never heard of the evaporating band solution but, i will ask my doc about it. I have foud that when i am feeling super tight or my stomach is upset that the warm tea is the best remedy..remember no sugar!
