Just For Fun: Unique Free Meal Ideas

So I'm walking around Costco thinking that in 8 days I'm going to be banded and trying to resist all the temptations while I'm on my liquid diet. What temptations? Why all the free samples they pass out in almost every corner of Costco!

So I realized that if I go on a weekend and get 4-8 free samples, with my new, tiny, banded tummy this will be a complete lunch for me! Granted even buying lunch at Costco is dirt cheap ($2 for a huge piece of pizza that filled me up pre-band) but now it's free. :biggrin2: I like free.

Anyone else have great ideas on scoring free (but tiny) meals?

i recently went out to dinner with friends from work who didn't know that i got banded. i didn't drink and that raised eyebrows. i ordered boneless buffalo chicken bites and could only eat 2 of them and that raised eyebrows too.

when i got the bill and i had to pay $10 + tip for something i barely ate i got pissed off and ended up telling everyone i was with that i had the surgery.

they said the next time i could just eat off their plates!

SDS - It sounds like a good way to get a 'free' meal. I'm just afraid that it will be something that I can't keep down.

Kalipso2 - I'm looking forward to the day that I can eat off of DH's plate. Now we will be able to afford for him to get steak and lobster.

Oh no worries - there are lots of trash cans around. :biggrin2: OK, so maybe a free meal in a year or so when we really know what we can keep down!

Too funny!....I have been just eating off DH's plate if possible....If we agree on what...LOL

My problem is I LOVE grilled shrimp and fish but boy do they like to charge you for that!

When my hubby orders I always say...get steamed broccoli instead of french fries...better for him and good for me...he hates it...the brocolli that is!
