Lightbulb I think I am in big trouble

Okay, so to make matters worse I have realized very suddenly that I think I am pregnant. FOr the rest of the scoop I was banded on April 1 and have lost about 68 pounds without a fill. I have been feeling very off and not following my diet and exercise like I am supposed to so. Now I realize that I have a variety of early pregnancy symptoms! This is way to early to be pregnant, I think I'm screwed. Help!

Hey Cher - you definitely are not screwed (if that makes you feel any better...) :) If you do turn out to be pregnant, yes it is earlier than the doctors would advise and it will interfere with weight loss - however, they will simply unfill (or leave as is if no fill) to allow you to eat healthy for your pregnancy. Also know you are not the first person this has happened to. Losing weight can help increase fertility - which is why doctors suggest using some form of reliable birth control while you're losing the weight during the 1st year of being banded. At any rate - it happens :) So best of luck if you are pregnant and be sure to call your doctor right away to discuss next steps! Take care.....

Click the image to open in full size.why don't you take a home preg. test? Then if it is posative call and set up an appointment so you can talk to your dr. Make a list of questions for him. Good luck

I agree--take a pregnancy test and then get in to see your doc. I also have a goal weight I want to hit before getting pregnant, but you know, sometimes things happen that are out of our control.

Losing this much weight can also throw your hormone for a loop, as can any surgery requiring general anesthesia. Take a deep breath, take the test, and talk to your doc! You can handle this!
