How deep in is your port?

I think that my port is very close to my skin - perhaps more so than normal. I feel it very clearly and hart when I touch it and when I bend over, it hurts like it's pinching me. I'm only one week post op, but I hope this feeling will go away, it's annoying. Also, I've been reading that Drs. can't find the ports for the fills? I could fill mine myself, it's that clearly palpable.

I have a port that you can almost see and i have only been banded a month. I can feel it when i lean forward and rollover. I do not have a lot of fat near my ribs (near the port) so figure it has no where to hide. lol

I am getting used to the feeling it is not painful anymore. I too could do my own fill.
Cant tell you if it is right or not but figure it would help to know you are not alone. :)

My port is quite easy to find, I've never had to have a fluoro for fills. My doc can find it with no problem. It's funny, some days you can almost see it and others not, but I can always feel where it is.

my port is very deep. I have to have fluoro fills. Sometimes, as the dr sits the xray table up after putting the needle in, it pops out! I hate it!
