Thumbs up Hit 50lbs..Yipee and 1 year Bandanniversary

Hi all,

I can't believe it is going to be 1 year since I had my Lap Band surgery, what a difference a year makes.

I went to see my Dr yesterday because I noticed my port moved up about 2-3 inches, (now it's sitting around the waistband area, as opposed to being on top of my right hip bone) . It was my lucky day because usually I see the PA, but my surgeon was in. He took a look and said, now I want you to lay down, he looked at the port area, then he said, I want you to stand up. He showed me where the band use to be and said that because I have lost weight, my skin is now sagging and my abdominal wall has tighten, due to excerise. So my port has moved due to a tighten abdominal wall, but it is still stitched in the same place. Then he told me to get on the scale and I lost another 5 pounds.

I will be celebrating my 1 year bandanniversary on March 18th, I wanted to lose at least 60lbs but I will take the 50, considering that I have not been 100% with my food choices. He told me I am on target, he said if I keep up the good work I can expect to keep on losing in year 2 and in year 3. He also said that down the road if I get thinner, my port might protrude so he will have to surgically reposition it. My dr. also does tummy tucks, so I will ask him if he can do that at the same time.
