jack RELAX!!!!! if it was gonna be stuck or give you pain you would have felt it BEFORE you finished typing your post! dont force yourself to pb if you NEED to if WILL happen!
the pill will dissolve. just go watch tv or something!
Yes, they are so right. As soon as you took it, you would have known...you would not be here typing us if it didn't make it. It is probably already dissolved, just be careful in the future. I kept doing that my first few times eating. I would just eat like I used to do and that would be without chewing...I would get so scared...until something did get stuck and you find out it's immediate. Hopefully you won't have this problem...

My only concern is that you should be sure to wash the pill on through. Try not to ever let them just lay above the band. Always drink drink drink after taking medications to be sure they are washed through.
I hope everything turned out okay for you. :)

You should have seen the size of the horse pills I was given for pain when I left the hospital. Good thing I didn't need but one. I broke that into 3rds and they went down fine. Hope you're feeling well.
Warm liquid with pills will help wash it through. Take your sugar level reading and talk to your doctor about how much you should take of your medication. Some people have to cut it back quite a bit right away.
Relax. There is room for error. Pain is a warning, not a symptom of immediate death or damage. Rest a lot. Ask questions here a lot. Don't worry. Be happy. :D
P.S. This message is from the Queen of Worry, Herself. :laugh
That happened to me, so I jumped in a hot steamy shower. I'm not sure the steam helped (maybe the pill went down on its own) but I let the hot water pound down hard on my chest. I'm Polish - always thinking of the cheapest and easiest way out.
Since it has been established you are fine -- CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING BANDED!!!!! I had little or no restriction after my surgery last Wednesday so the pain pills were no problem for me. When I did the barium test the next morning the people there confirmed I had no restriction and everything went right through. If that is the case for you too until we get our first fill, we don't need to be so concerned about swallowing pills. Be careful though as you lose weight to monitor the dosage. I do bite the pain pills in half but I never felt any problem swallowing them.
Best wishes to you on your new healing journey. Happy holidays -- what a perfect gift you gave yourself!!!! Take care!

Jack, do be sure if you're taking any time-released meds., to check with your dr. He may want to change you to something else (not time-released form).
