Getting approval
Is it the same requirements to be approved for a LAP-BAND® - with or without insurance. Do you have the same wait time? I have made no phone calls yet to doctors -- just wondering if someone out there has the answers -- I am in the St Louis Mo area. Thanks!

If you are self pay it typically goes a lot faster. I think you still have to have the regular blood work, EKG, nutritionst and psych eval though. Mine took about 10-12 weeks with insurance. I would think it would be more like a month without.
