Garlic WARNING!!!!

Is there anything better then pan roasted garlic ? you bet, MORE pan roasted garlic.

well before being banded i could eat a pound of the good stuff, now not so much.
yesterday i ate only a few small cloves of this tasty treat. and last night found that it now creates a very big problem. it was never a problem in the past but now,,,,

:painkiller:

even the dogs didnt want around me.

so just like a glass of wine or a shot of vodka, a little goes a long ways.

yep its a gross topic but it is what it is.

It doesn't matter what I eat anymore.... just the thought of food makes me gasssssssssy beyond belief. And trying to hold em in all day long at work is a challenge, but one good thing is when I get to goal, I'll have tight butt cheeks :eyebrows:

Its not a gross subject...not in Bandland lol.

I don't think I could cook without garlic!:biggrin1: I got through spirts, sometimes I get very gassy, then it goes away, and then it hits me again. Welcome to bandland!

I agree that it is an issue in bandland....it is probably an issue for others but they don't have any place to vent. Lucky us!!

The gas isnt a problem, unless im right in front of someone (unless i want to clear a line) i just let em riiiiiiiiippppppppp. its the new and improved smell from smaller amounts of stuff thats killing my family.(and my dogs)

i used to be able to drink a fair amount of tequila with no problem, now two or three shots and im hammered. :faint:

I wonder if i can ever eat pickeld eggs again ? :heh:

Celest, a "place to vent?" Pun intended, or not?

Funny how a band around the stomach changes the body's reaction to some foods. Egg salad now leaves me doubled over in pain from gas. What the heck!

ROFL

This thread is too funny. First of all, LOVE garlic, and it's so good for you too.

The band makes you gassy? Cripes I'm already like a baloon deflating pre band. If I wasn't so fat I'd be hitting the walls with deflation.

It's going to get worse??

What is it with egg salad?! Got stuck and pain!! I thought it would be perfect, but no way - and this was before my last fill. There is no way I would try it now. Garlic I would and will do in a heartbeat, problem is I like it on bread and there is nooooooooooooooo way I'm going there. Oh the memories!!

Garlic hasn't bothered me yet.

But anything Soy? Oh my. Unfortunately, the protein bars I eat are mostly soy based (South Beach).

Good thing I have my own office :)

I think egg salad is great -- I can actually eat it now, but not other kinds of eggs -- go figure. I do know that sometimes mayo is the culprit in tummy pains though -- I use miracle whip -- have you tried that?

EEEWWW - Miracle Whip is terrible to me! I grew up on mayo and my hubby grew up on Miracle Whip, so we have both in the frig. Can't stand the stuff. I'll just stick with tuna and chicken salad - the boiled eggs just don't agree with me. Don't have problems with eggs cooked scrambled or over easy, go figure!?!?!
