Fobi Pouch Gastric Bypass

Has anyone heard of Fobi Pouch Gastric Bypass??? I just found out about it tonight. It is supposed to be better than GB (Fobi --shows weight loss up to 4 years out!!!!) According to the website on Dr. Fobi-the inventor--its between the two surgeries....more elaborate than banding but not as elaborate as GB. My doc has apparently done them too--I also found that info on the web! Hmmmm I will be asking him about this!!!:D

i know someone who had the fobi pouch. i think her results are very good. she lost 100% of her excess weight but has put on a few pounds 3 years out so now she's probably at 90% ewl. from what i understand, the fobi GB has the same intestinal routing but they band the opening of the pouch and put mesh around the pouch to keep it from enlarging over time. she has complete intolerance for meat though. i think the only meat she can eat is scallops or very light white fish. everything else comes back up. but i think she could probably eat meat if she were really willing to chew to goo. anyway, it is a good option for some people. good luck with your research!

I don't know a lot about it, but I know Rosanne Barr had it. I suppose if you got online and researched it, you'd find a lot of information. ObesityHelp.com has a Fobi Pouch GB forum. For most procedures it also has an informational section, but theirs is incomplete at this time.

Randy Jackson?
Can you believe he's the spokesman for OREO's now.
His pic is right on the package (I saw it in the store, STOP THAT! *LOL*)
What a crock.

Anyway he did have a Lap Fobi Bypass.
