fluid surrounding port

I went in for my first fill today and the Dr. had to drain fluid around my port first. He said it wasn't anything to stress about.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Any veteran bandsters?

I have that too. When I had my first fill, as soon as the doctor stuck the needle in, fluid went everywhere. It was so gross. When I see him again, I'm going to ask if he can drain it because it is poking out now that I'm losing weight. My doctor said it happens and isn't anything to worry about too.
