The Flu and the Band

Has anyone gotten the flu this year that has there band? I got it last week and it was horrible!

I threw up a couple of times and my surgeon had me come in and do an upper GI to make sure that nothing was wrong with my band because I had some pain in my chest where the band is. I'm still having some muscle soreness in the chest area too. Has anyone else had this?

Being sick is miserable isn’t it? Sorry to here you go through so much pain. I was sick about 4 weeks ago with a sinus infection and slight flu, my symptoms weren’t as sevrere. I couldn’t breath through my nose, a cough, chills then sweats, and a temp. The problem I had was, I had to take antibiotics which I cut in half took with plenty of water then lied down. 15 minutes later a half a pill got lodged and was very very painful, it finally passed. I have learned don’t eat anything and lye down for aleast an hour.
Was the upper GI, to check out your band for slipping? Hope your feeling better.
