First taste of solid food

I had my first solid food today, some moist chicken breast. I was in heaven! I have already figured out I may never have warm dinners again! lol It takes so long to chew each bite, after just a couple of bites your dinner is cold. I will trade that weight loss for the cold dinner any day though.

You made it back to real food!! Congratulations on sticking with your post-op slushies and mushies. It's hell, but your band will thank you for it! Way to go Betty!!

Congratulations, Betty! Isn't solid food great? I think the only people who truly appreciate it are bandsters just coming off mushies and seniors fitted with new dentures.

Wow, Betty, felt like you just got rescued off a deserted island, didn't you? LOL Yea, the cold food reminds me of when the kids were little. Everyone else is done eating when you're just getting started. 35 pounds! Way to go!!:cheeky

I have one more week before I am on all solid foods, but I do get scrambled eggs, and most meat. My hubby was done eating almost before I started!

Cold Food

Hello Betty~ Congrats on your weight loss! Keep up the good work! :banana When I started to eat solid food mine was cold too so what I did was bought some baby plates at Toy's R US and because they are made of thin plastic I set them on a small heating plate and it keeps my food warm as I take a half hour to eat it! The plates come in a set and are in solid colors so they don't look childish and there are 2 regular plates, 2 plates with separated compartments and 2 lids.

Yee Haw Betty! I still remember adding REAL food back into my diet... it was heaven... warm or cold! I enjoy food much more than I ever did before... because I actually chew and taste it!

Congrats Betty. Cold chicken is good in salad, that is where I usually end up with mine.
