Exercise in the Winter

Well I don't know about the rest of you but I have so much snow I can't get out to go to the gym, much less go for a walk or run. So my solution DDR (DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION) Some of you have got to have kids with a video game system. Go to Wal Mart or wherever you can go to buy video games and invest in this. I got the Disney version and a dance pad for $50.00. What a workout!!! It is so fun and my kids love it too. Even DH had to give it a try, what a hoot!!! It even has a workout built in that will tell you calories burnt ect. Way worth the investment we are hooked.

LOL I was looking tnto getting it. I was given the game but havent bought the pad yet. Is it addictive? Do you WANT to play? Or is it so hard you dread doing it again?

I want to play it. Like today I am cleaning house and I keep thinking, if I get done in enough time I can play DDR. I feel like a little kid. I think it is a blast.

I have PS2 as well. I really want a metal pad too. My dh seems to thin that he can made a wood bottom for ours and somehow attach it to it???? I am not sure if that will work. It is so addicting!

Starting at 19.99 up to the thousands, just depends what you want. I have a starter pad right now. Ebay or google it and you will learn alot, thats how I found out about them.

I'll have to add that to my list of fun games that makes a person exercise. I also recommend the Wii Sports games (DH's kids played that this last summer and each and every one of them was sweating like crazy) and PS2 has a game that works with the EyeToy (little camera that goes on top and puts you into the game) that has little workouts on it that are fun...the kids went wild to that one, too. Now I'll have to look into DDR...anything to tire those kids out is just fine with me. LOL

I am getting the mat this weekend off Amazon and I am buying the EyeToy for PS2 with a game called Keneticks (sp?) it is like doing kick boxing and other work outs I got them for 9.99 on Amazon with the camera. I am going to have to try it out. Weird I am spending Christmas money on excercise stuff. lol
As long as It is fun I might do it. lol
I think I will have to dust off my rollerskates this spring too. Time to get serious about having fun and working out. lol

I totally agree, if it isn't fun I probably won't do it. I also like competition so anything that let's me compete is good for me. I hope youenjoy it. Let me know how the kenetiks works for you.
