well i am doing it because im scared not too...but i have heard many people do not.....im just eating sugar free jello all day and drinking plenty of protien...not to bad.....

This is not unrealistic for many of us....depending on what your recovery is, and what kind of work you do....

Personally I was off pain meds Day 2 and helping with the firewood by day 3....I could have been back at my regular work by day 5, but I had scheduled other surgery and was in 'off work' recovery for additional time due to IT , not the Band procedure....
