Anyone heard how the new Advanced Platform (AP) bands are working out? Does anyone know the difference between the older models and this new one. Getting banded in several weeks from now and curious as to how the new bands are doing. |

I know that there is a Dr. C somewhere here that people ask medical questions. Where is the thread so we can ask there? Audree |

Dr. C has posted on another thread....often he responds to direct questions. I haven't heard of the new band you mention....please keep us informed once you find out what it is....

Hi, I will be having the new AP band. When I asked my surgeon about it he said that it is softer than previous bands, and that they believe it will facilitate greater weight loss. I would also be interested in further information regarding this band from Dr C, or anyone else in the loop. Susannah

I posted this in the LAP-BAND® complications where Dr. C answers questions. I will check and post his answer here.

I wonder of Dr. Ortiz would use this Advanced Platform band. If it is made of better materials or has some other advantage I want it!

In the process of my having the band surgery, and even now with reading this thread, i'm disappointed in how hard it is to get information. Why doesn't the Inamed site give any technical information.
