24 hours or 48 hours or 2 weeks?

I'm getting a re-fill tomorrow and I'm getting mixed opinions on how long after a fill until you can eat again. My surgeon says 24 hours of liquids then on to real food... my last fill Dr. (the one that accidentally did a full unfil) said 48 hours of full liquids then gradually add more until 2 weeks later you are on real food.

So just curious.. what have you heard and what do you follow?

Mine is 1 day liquids, 1 day mushies, then solids. I would go with what your current doctor recommends. You will be able to tell if its too soon for solids. You can then move back to mushies or liquids. Good luck.

I have the same instructions as Julie, one day liquids and one day mushies. And, like she said, the best policy is to follow the instructions of your current doctor as he/she knows you best.

I've had 7 fills with two different Drs.....24 hours liquids, 24 hours mushies...then solids. Never had a problem.

I have always been able to eat directly after the fill...my dr never advised otherwise...There are so many things they do differently in Aust/NZ then they do in the US...This site has been so enlightening to me.

My fill doctor says liquids for 24 hours, then whatever. I usually take it slow, just to learn my new restriction.
