Any dibetic guys getting this done???

Any guys out there? I am a type 2 and a big guy it seems mostly women are getting this thing done. Is it ok for guys and are the results different. Any chance I will still be able to enjoy a “small” rib eye after the surgery? I have been on insulin for about a year and it has caused me to gain a lot of weight. Plan to start the process in the next month my doctor has agreed that it is a good option for me. Any special advice for a guy about to take the plunge.

I injected insulin for 15 years. It made me gain 75# the very first year I used it. I have been off injections now for 2 years.

Define "small" rib eye.....and just 'how long' after surgery you are talking.

I enjoy the same rib eye steak I ate preOp....it just takes a week to eat it all....3-4 ounces per meal is plenty for me, I never would have actually believed that would happen...

Thanks I am in sales and when we get together big steaks are on the plate. I guess it would not be a bad thing to take a few days to ingest a really good steak. I know I need to do this but it will be a change in life style. Can you get away with a little cheating??? Oh well I am a few months down the road have to get my mind ready. Women seem to live to diet, know I should of said that, but , I have never had to until I took this insulin.
