What can we take for a cold?

This is my first cold since being banded and I can't find my approved meds list. Are we restricted on taking Cold medicine?

I would think anything liquid...I love Theraflu in warm water. It's so soothing.

You can safely take anything that does not contain ibuprophen, motrin, (NSAIDS) - those products containing tylenol (acetaminophen) are fine.

Choose either a liquid or one that can be cut into small pieces, so it can get through the stoma. All meds should be this small. then, take a full glass of fluid afterward to wash them completely through. hope you feel better!
