Weight Watchers

I've heard that some band patients will join weight watchers for accountability each week. If you're one of those patients, do you stick to the number of points weight watchers allows you to have or do you give yourself a lesser amount?

I dont see any reason why you would need to give yourself a lesser amount - if you would have lost weight on 20points (for example) before then why wouldnt you after banding?

You dont get banded to starve on minute amounts of food, simply to make sticking to smaller portions and sensible choices easier. So the same number of points would be fine for most people.

Although.... I'd have to say now at 70kg and wanting to drop a few more (and it's not happening, lol) the normal points amount for me (20) would probably be a little much these days. I've had a big weight loss and it doesnt come off easily these days. But early on, you can still eat quite a lot and lose - as a generality of course.

I've been able to eat my full 29, but I don't have a fill right now.

I know that once I have my fill there is no way I'll be able to get my points in daily.

My nut said it would be perfect to eat a WW type diet once banded but there is no way I would be able to eat all of the points once I get a fill because the amount of food my pouch could hold would be so much less.

The thing you have to decide with WW is when you're eating the 29 points is it hard to stick to and are you hungry? Then you get a fill and as you lose anyway, you wont have 29 points! But if you're not hungry, eating all your points and losing, you wouldnt need a fill, would you?

I am doing a modified WW. I make sure I dont eat OVER the points. BUT I HAVE to eat all the vegitables and milk and water.
I am going to add something on my paper for protein too So I get all my basics in. and not go Over points.

I was following WW and eat all my points. I always save the extra 35 for the weekend so I can eat about 25 points per day. The max for my range would be 29 points per day. I've been a bit lazy to track it all lately, but need to get back on it.
