I had nothing more than an uncomfortable night - not due to pain but due to the fact that I'd already been lying in bed all day and couldnt sleep.

Went home the next morning and went for a walk with Doug and the kids.

Walked 30 minutes every day after that, was right back into normal duties, apart from very heavy lifting.

It was barely a blip on the radar.

My recovery was fantastic, woke up did the routine and went home. I never needed a pain pill and never really had any problems, didn't have to work because it was Thanksgiving weekend so it all worked out really well.

I was my doctor's first LAP-BAND®, so the first few of us did the over night stay, now he does the surgery on an out patient basis.

Nothing to it, I wish I had been given the opportunity to have this available to me 30 years ago. Had surgery on Monday, came home on Tuesday, drove to grocery store on Wednesday. I was starving for some s/f pops. IMO, surgery's not as tough as the liquid phase after the surgery.

I had my LAP-BAND® surgery Monday, Aug 21st. I arrived at 10am and was home at 3pm. I was very sore the first day and took the pain medication given by the doctor. I am still very sore (Day 3), but it is only where the port is. I have consumed water, gatorade, chicken broth, and protein shakes so far. I am not able to consume anything else until Friday (when I get applesauce - yeah!) I am really not hungry at all, just tired. I know that in a couple months I won't even remember this! Congrat's to everyone!!!!
