Interesting thing have you heard of this?

I just recently met two ladies both of who had lap band surgery one had it about 3 years ago the other 2 years ago. They met at a support group and both had problems with their band(had the same doctor he has since quit doing bands) they both had to have all the saline removed from their bands so have not had anything in there for about a year maybe a little over..

ok normal right but both of them still get stuck on food if they dont chew well...so does this mean the amount of saline you have in your band is not in direct correlation to whether or not you get stuck or are too tight?

I was just really shocked by this maybe I dont understand the band like I thought I did.

For some people(like myself!), just having the band provides some restriction. That is why fill levels vary so much. Some people just need more fill, while others can lose and maintain with little or no fill. I'm not sure if that answers your question though!

This explains it very well...I would have to say the same thing!

Fivebyfive,
BTW, did they say why they had to have all their saline removed???

I get stuck when I dont have a fill as well, but it is from not following bandster rules and eating something like chicken without chewing well enough.
