How Long Do YOU....

How long does your Doctor make you fast after each fill? Just curious... Mine makes me go on a liquid diet for 48 hours... a friend of mine only has to wait 1 hour. I'm just wondering what the norm is!! =D

no fasts after a fill. Jessie just recommends soup for dinner that night.

Mine recommends a few days of clear liquids after a fill but he is very conservative. He had us at clear liquids for 10 days after surgery and soft food for a full month.

I think that my doctor is so careful because I was only the second person that he did at this hospital (the first three were all done on the same day).

My doc says liquids the rest of that day then go to mushy food. He just says, take it easy.

You all are so lucky! My doctor called this morning (Sunday) at 8:30! I knew what was coming. He told me that he was very sorry, but he made a mistake and I should be on full liquids for 4 weeks. He asked if I had eaten any soft foods and I had (yogurt and mashed potatoes). He said that since I had no problems with them I could add an occasional soft food but to keep it mostly to full liquids. :think If I stay on liquids for 4 weeks then I won't have to worry about the band because I will lose all 100 pounds by then!

Is this after a fill or after surgery? Seems like a long time if it is just after a fill

I have to do liquids the remainder of the day of the fill, then back to solids the next day. He stresses to me to make sure I return to solids the following day!

Ours ask that we do liquids the rest of that day-and back to normal food the next.

Just the rest of that day (after getting a fill about noon).
