I am a little over 2 weeks out. I had pain when breathing deep until the 4th day out. I personally have never been a very good burper. I still have a terrible time burping. It gets better. The only pain I have now is at my port site when I bend over.

The pain when breathing is fairly normal, it will pass. As far as burping, I have been banded since April and find I am just not able to burp anymore. But, I get the hiccoughs pretty frequently, and they can be very robust ones.

I'm 27 days out, and had the same feelings you're talking about. Hang in there, it does go away. I also find that I don't burp anylonger, but then again, I don't gulp liquids or drink carbonated beverages.

After day one, until about day 7 ot 8...the gas was the most painful part for me. And it was hard to breathe deeply, too.

But you'll feel better soon. I'm on Day 12 right now and I feel totally normal again. In fact, I feel even better than before.

No real burping here anymore either. I get hiccups every so often and its usually only one or two and they are kinda noisy.

I'm 2 days out, and I thought I needed to burp also - but couldn't. The gas hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be, but I"m really weak. I also have pain when I try to breath deeply, but it's getting better.
