I don't understand. Is 24HourFitness selling these with the first 3 months for $99??? Their website is still selling this for $349. Am I misunderstanding? If it's $99, I'm in, but I'd have to rethink $349.

| bodybuggs an interesting beast
The product is manufactured througha company called sensawear but they only sell bodybugg the units. So sensawear creates software and upgrades etc. The watch is only available if you have the upgraded unbit wich came out after november of last year or so I was told my a tech rep from the company. I was also told my a rep at bodymedia that late 07 early 08 they were going to be selling a smaller unit that will be available in different colors. When I asked a rep at bodybugg he said he had no clue. Go figure either way I guess what matters is that it works. ah they also have 2 different kinds of software if you get the version from bodymedia you can use it with your dr to monitor everything from you pulse to your sleep etc or you can get version from bodybugg that monitos cals in and out.
I still havent purchased one Im trying to get mine from bodymedia and use it in conjunction with my nutritionist.

Ok so you all are selling me on this BB idea, but I also read a thread about the Nintendo Wii being a good workout! I don't have the money for both. Really I don't have money for either right now but you guys are amping me up totally. Now I really can't decide! If I get the Wii them my hubby can play with me. If I get the BB it is totally solo and no playing involved. I know they are two totally different devices and because of you guys I can really see the pros of the BB. Hmmmmm, what to decide?????

| Body Bugg - still a good purchase?
For those of you who have purchased a Body Bugg,
Would you buy one all over again?

Once my 3 months are up, I don't think I'll be renewing it. It's a great tool and certainly provides interesting information but I'm not sure I need to track things that minutely right now.

Howdy, I got my bbugg yesterday and have been playing around with it some. I walked a mile and a half today and it said I did about 3,000 steps and burned about 500 calories. Sounds about right.
I don't really like the food diary and the program interface. I think the program FitDay has been much easier to use (and only $20.) So I plan to get the activity information off of Bodybugg and enter it plus all my food into FitDay.
I like that FitDay allows you to track more nutrients - especially when taking a multi-vitamin tablet.
I have my surgery next Friday, so I know I'm jumping the gun and won't really be able to use the BBugg for a couple months while I'm healing but I do like that it tracks your activities. The other stuff (the counseling, the food tracking through that program) you can take with a grain of salt. Seems like it's a big to-do designed to get you to buy their energy bars. But the tool is pretty nifty.
Just my $.02.

I want one, but luxury, Socrates once declared, "is artificial poverty",
but I really could use a personal trainer strapped to my triceps :-) Question: when you log what you eat, how does it work? do they have a food list to choose from?
My diet is very different then the mainstream's diet in this country, even as an overweight person I haven't had any junk food, sodas, microwave food, sweets etc ...
I have a calorie counter book, but useless for me.
I cook everything from stratch, good quality food. I had a portion problem, and a bread problem.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to pop in and say I ordered my body bugg from 24hourfitness tonight. They have them for $349 and then if you use the code BLC24 you get another 50 off of that. My total with shipping was $314.?? because I did 2 day airmail shipping. Just thought I would tell everyone.
Now someone tell me about this watch?

I'm having to create multiple dishes because their selections aren't as broad. I think once that's programmed in, it will be easier.
On the whole however this thing is AMAZING- it works great with my mac in the parallels program; I found I wasn't burning quite as many calories as I thought so its helped me to push more.
yea body bugg!

yea body bugg! | I never used fit day or spark people. I started on spark people one day and then never went back. My hope is that will be good in a sense for me because I never got used to a different program.
I am sooooo excited because my bug will be here tomorrow. A couple of my friends just don't get it because I am so excited. One told me you are losing weight so what do you need that for. I told her I want to optimize my band and this way I can really see what I am actually burning a day............ALL DAY LONG...........to compare with what is going in. They don't understand. Oh well.........I am excited!!!

I can definately see if you're starting to tone your body or really work on the last 10-20 pounds how this device could be amazing for you. But for fatty's like me where I've got 100 pounds to lose and I'm going to be in a 2,000 calorie deficit every day for the next several months, then bah.
It's cool to wear when you're walking, but right now its a REALLY expensive stepometer.
I am sure I'll get use out of it when I begin to approach my target goal. I just think lap banders aren't their target audience.
