anyone experience this?.........

I was banded on Monday 9/19/05. I expected the pain and bloated feeling but I keep feeling a pain in my stomach that radiates up to my throat which I was not ready for. It only last a few seconds but it's a little scary. I called my doc and I was told it's spasms - stomach and esophagus - which should go away when the swelling subsides. Anyone else ever experience this?

Yes, I did, nad my Dr. told me the exact same thing your Dr. told you and it did get better once the swelling went down.

I have horrible shoulder pain, I just got banded yesterday..this is just awful

My dr said that it was left over gas that they leave in your body. I felt that way for about 2 weeks, the more I moved the better I felt it helped the gas move.

Thanks for all the good support and advice on here. Last night wasn't any fun. I was up and down all night and I was seriously hungry. I think I did wrong, I ate some egg drop soup but I think that was the wrong decision...or was it? I was stuck on pain-killers today, but I want to try to start weaning tomorrow. I feel really bloated and scared to eat/drink. Anyone out there try the "Stoney Mills Farms" Vanilla yogurt smoothies? I just saw that they were loaded with sugar (41 grams), do they have it in a low suguar vers?
