Hey Jack, How long did it take to lose the weight you have lost? Are you still losing? Are there any long term effects that you have noticed? Any medication changes? Any words of wisdom for those of us coming behind you? Tell us your story oh, wise and aged bandster!

Hi Jack

I am really wondering what happened to all the 2005 bandsters.....

Are they out having fun because they are thin?

I wonder how many have lost there bands or revised to another surgery.I have found quite a few on other sites (lost bands and conversions)

Hope some of them post eventually.

Good luck

Cindy,

Don't give up! You have lost 75lbs and that's great! Are you still working out? Up your exercise routine, that may help. Look at some old pctures and remember why you got the Lap Band. Read some posts of other's struggles and accomplishments. I believe you can do it because you've done it before. Cut one thing at a time. Cut out all sugary drinks and drink more water.

Good luck with getting back on track!

Val

Hey guys!

I'm a November 2004 Bandster...mind if I crash the party? I brought tiki torches and a limbo stick. And a special "magarita" but I'm not saying anything more than that until you've drank half a liter.

This thread just finally popped up on my screen.....I lost track of it.

Don't know what's going on....maybe it was Kate's special margarita....

All is well with me.....STILL following the rules and STILL 25# from goal.

AND 42s are getting a bit looser. Every once in a while I dig out my old 56/58s just to make it more real that maybe I ain't where I want to go, but for sure I ain't where I've been...

Hey Jack!

I hear ya. Whenever I still feel "big" I remember how I couldn't cross my legs, or button size 14 pants. It's weird how sometimes I either totally forget my morbid obesity and overly obsess/criticize myself for being 193 lbs and a size 14, or I slip right back into my fat suit and forget I am NOT 300 lbs anymore.

It happens less and less as time goes by. I look at my driver's license to remind me...I pretty much destroyed all my old fat pics. I'll have to see if my mom has any. I was always a bit brutal with myself. But you don't get to be fat if you love yourself, eh?

Do you remember what it feels like to be someone who wore 56/58....after all this time?

re: "Do you remember what it feels like to be someone who wore 56/58....after all this time?"

That's what motivates me to keep my daily discipline regardless of frustration and glacially-slow response. That's what makes keeping my special pants from Omar the Tent Maker handy....

I may not be where I want. And I may not be where I will be soon. At least I am not where I was a mere 41 months ago....

I like that - someone once told me it's not where you are, but where you come from that counts. Omar, LOL. You silly :)

Hi Esmeralda - you and me both!! I tried to do a liquid diet twice this week and I fear I need a fill and a major attitude adjustment, I'm a little too used to eating more than a typical bander should. The fill is a week and a half away for me. How about you? Did you get a "do over" fill yet??
