Hehe, my scale saga continues. I went with to regular doc's this morning and it read 326 with jeans on. Stopped by home, pulled out the scale, and it read about 334 with jeans on (between 328 & 330 nekkid, which is how I usually weigh at home). This will be interesting b/c I also get weighed at my surgeon's today... going in for my 2nd fill. So I will tally scale weight today. So far, fully dressed:

Home scale: 334
Doctor's scale: 326
Surgeon's scale: ???

My home scale has been reading those same numbers for about 5 weeks now, maybe a little longer. Last Monday I went to my doctor (pink eye) and I weighed 334 on their scale. So going by doctor's, I've lost 9 lbs in about 2 weeks. According to home I've lost nothing.

Put on my 26 jeans this morning. I had to quit wearing these early last summer!

LOL- I don't know why I think all scales should be the same when we can't even standardize womens clothing sizes but i guess i am a dreamer. My scale has not moved for 2 weeks- I was about to throw it out the window and run over it with the truck- my eatting has not changed that much. Went to the dr and weighed in clothes 291.5 when it was 293 at home nekkid. Huh??? Went and bought a new scale as i was thinking of really creative ways of "killing" my old scale that i know hates me.....
New and fancy scale following all the set up instructions weighs me at 295 - now i am even more upset- i spent money to buy something that hates me even more then my old scale and it doesn't even know me as well.....
New and fancy scale takes an instant shine to my husband- weighs him 4 lbs less then the old one! again i say, huh??? I have polished up my old scale, talked nicely to it, moved it out of the corner into the sunshine and maybe we can reconnect and create a better relationship. Husband is keeping new scale!
oh, I also think another fill might be needed which is set for may 12. I know i have been walking more and gardening and doing all the spring outside chores so have been getting much more excersise so maybe it is muscle but it is still a bit depressing. Clothes seem to be getting looser still...

I have a theory on scales accuracy. I believe that the more you weigh the less accurate they are. The closer you get to a scales max capacity the more skewed it gets. Simply most bathroom scales are not designed to weigh us at all. So go by what the surgeons scale says or do what I do. I go to a friends office with a professional scale like at the docs office to weigh in. At least I know it's farily accurate and can handle well ovr my weight :) Bathroom scale still reads ee for eek. Next phase is err for error. It like my hubby though. Fickle little s***

Molly,

I think you're spot on with your theory on scale accuracy. I'm hoping to get past that with my new scale purchase that guarantees accuracy for weights more than 100 lbs more than me. Time will tell as it's supposed to arrive on Wed.

Take care,

Home scale showed another 5 lbs dropped this morning, from 382 to 329.

53 lbs in two months... I know which scale I like more! :D

26 jeans are fine. 26 dress pants - can get them closed, but they're tight from belly to thigh. 28s are bagging, so I'm right between the two (sizing by LB's clothes).

OK, this is crappy. According to the scale I have lost 18lbs. Now I didn't get that wonderful drop some of you got in the beginning, but oh well. I must say that I am very sad about that. My hormones are out of control. Now I have never been pregnant, and I have never done crack, but I feel like a pregnant woman on crack. My poor husband and his poor 5 kids, putting up with me. I am snapping like a killer turtle. To top it off, I have had my period for almost 3 weeks straight. I have had a few days off. I have PCOS so I usually don't get one at all or maybe spot for a day. I am a hormonal train wreck. I know that there is nothing that any of you can do, but I had to get my feelings out somewhere. I have no restriction now that the swelling is gone and 3 more weeks till I can get my first fill. I have the VG band so that could be a long journey. I'll be there getting a fill every week if I have to at first. I am constantly hungry! Arghh, I wish I could have a fill right now.

THanks for listening :think

Wheetsin I knew you would be in those pants soon but 53 pounds WOW

Poor waterlily you will get through this. Just think, the weight loss is releasing all those raging hormones and you just have to let them out.....just make sure no one else is in the room. You pregnant woman on crack LOL... :preggers: at least you don't feel like it's ecstasy because then you would be looking for a pacifier. :baby:
