City: Loganville, near Atlanta State: Georgia | for denise - I LOVE shopping at thrift stores too! My budget is really tight and doesn't leave a lot of room for shopping. Thrift stores are perfect. And, the dress I leave with is new to me!
NJ gal - Both dresses are SO pretty. But, I personally favor the one without the ruffles. But then, I am partial to dresses that have the shape of that one. I think it makes your waist and hips look smaller.

City: Baraboo State: wi | Can I please join you gals. I don't WANT to be a slow loser but I am anyway. Lost 28# total and was banded almost 6 mos ago. I just can't get restriction regulated. Had very little restriction, go a 1cc fill and was so tight I couldn't get any solids down, had .6 removed and now have no restriction. On the positive side, I feel better and went from size 26 pants to 22. But darn I want to lose some real weight. If you don't mind, I'll be checking in here often.

State: Oregon | Welcome, Sharon! The more the merrier. I was a very slow loser at first. I finally got mad and put myself back on the liquid diet. That got me going again. Getting perfect restriction is hard. It never lasts because we are always loosing fat around the stomach which makes the band looser.
I like the dress on the right better too. They are both very pretty, but I agree with Candy.

State: VA | Welcome Sharon, Hello all my bandmates!
I am glad to see that all is well, I am so proud of you all, it appears that everyone has good news to report such as weightloss, inches lost, etc. I have not been on the scale in a few weeks so I don't know what my numbers are as of today, I can tell I've lost some inches at least.
NJ,
Those pictures look great. I really like the second choice without the ruffles, you look like you are in a 20. That dress shows off your figure and you should share it with the world on your wedding day. I am a firm believer in the less fabric the more curves you show the smaller you look. You should probably try on some regular clothes now as wedding dresses have a tendency to run at least one size to small which means you are probably in a size 20 now.
I read one of the post that one of you wrote about trying to find exercise tapes, if your cable service has an on demand service see if they have a free exercise program, I have Comcast her in Virginia and they have a free exercise channel that I can turn to and start, stop or pause anytime I want. It allows me to do a one mile walk in front of the television as well as some Taebo, you can also do yoga but I'm not ready for that.
I'm proud of each and every one of us. We are uniting and doing our thing. Thank you all for the motivation, it truly helps me on a daily basis.

City: Bear Lake State: Pennsylvania | NJ, I have to vote for the dress on the right as well. Both are beautiful but in the one on the right your waist is soooooo tiny, It is very flattering on you!

| Hmmmmm..... looks like I'm the only one that likes the dress on the left. I like the waist better. I would like to see one that is not a halter style for comparison... but I like the ribbon on the waist of the ruffle one.
Either dress, you look great!

| Thank you all for your opinions! It is such a help since I was so undecided. I have always been leaning toward the one without the ruffles as well but everyone's opinions have helped push me in the direction of the other one! Shortgal, my future mother and sister-in-law like that one, too. It IS different and that would make it stand out, but I just don't think it flatters my, as I put it, "24 hour glass figure"!!
Thank you all for your compliments. It makes me feel so good to hear people say I have a "small waist"! It's been a long time since I've been told that! I guess even if you don't lose many pounds you can still lose inches! A fabulous NSV for me!!
Welcome to you Sharon. Your weight loss is wonderful, believe me! Everyone on this forum is going through the same thing and everyone here is so wonderful! They are all so very supportive and have helped me through some rough times. I couldn't have got this far without the support of my "slow loser friends"!!! Stick with us and post often with updates. You'll be glad you did!!

| Hello! I would like to be a part of your group too. I am a very slow looser, especially lately. I have lost 50 pound in nine months. I am getting my next fill in a couple of weeks. I have 7 cc in a 10 cc band. I wish I had restriction, but I just don't have much! I never pb or get things stuck. I can basically eat what I want right now. My biggest issue is making myself work out. I just can't seem to stick anything. It is so helpful to know that I am not alone in being a slow looser. Becca

State: VA | Welcome Becca, Hello Bandmates!
You are not alone in your exercise attempts. I need some more motivation to get me through it daily. I love the walking one mile in home workout but I haven't been able to get past 2 evenings a week. I have a husband and two kids so when I get off in the evening I have to prepare dinner. I've even tried cooking double meets and larger sides and vegetables to allow me a day or two off from cooking to workout but somehow it just isn't working. I am trying to reassure myself that as of today I will drink either a shake or smoothie for my breakfast, eat at least two pieces of fruit a day and walk one mile at least 5 days a week.
Why is this exercise thing so hard for me? The walking show only takes 19 minutes to do one mile and it makes me sweat so what is my problem? I really need to exercise, I want to get these numbers down. I was banded in June of 2008 and my numbers are still way off. I think I need a fill so I guess I will try to call my Doctor's office today. Wish me luck as I am going to try to buckle down today.

City: Loganville, near Atlanta State: Georgia | Welcome to all the new ones. NJ gal, I was a little confused. I'm not sure which dress you decided on. With ruffles or without ruffles?

Becca | Becca, I was banded in June 07 and have lost only half of what you loss (29 pounds). Believe me, you have great weight loss compared to a lot of us on here. I don't even know if you would qualify as a slow loser! But we're happy to have you with us all the same!
