I really could not live without LBT. This is the only thing that keeps me going when the scale does not move for long periods of time. I usually go a couple of months where I lose nothing, and then I will lose 5 lbs and be stuck again for another couple of months.

I am always glad to be able to maintain what I have lost and I know I am headed in the right direction. without the band, I am sure I would be much heavier by now.

Just wanted to subscribe to the thread. I seem to be trending so far as a slow loser and could use the group as support. I look forward to getting to know all of you!

I was banded 8-20 and am down 18lbs since surgery. If you average it out it works out to 2lbs per week but 15 of those pounds were in the first 3 weeks after surgery. I have been stuck pretty much since then. I do really good with my calories, I stay between 1000-1200 each day. My protein varies from day to day. Some days I am low, some days I am high, like today, I already have 82g in. I called the nutritionist and she told me to try to stay around 800 calories a day and 70g of protein. That should help to jump start things. I have tried to, but I need another fill (I have had 1 so far). Otherwise, I feel like I am starving when I do that. I go for another fill on Friday and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it helps me. I also know I need to step up my exercise a notch. I am not trying to make excuses but I have a crazy life. I work all day at a desk, go home to 3 kids under the age of 6 to chase after, have horses to take care of, and of course the regular house work....you would think all of that would burn enough calories to drop some but guess not. I have an elyptical and my intentions is to really push to do that at least 4 times a week.

Filled

HI EVERYBODY,

I AM THE PERSON WHO COULD EAT 3 PIECES OF PIZZA. I HAD A FILL YESTERDAY AND BOY IS IT WORKING. I WAS TOLD TO COME BACK IN 2 WEEKS IF I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH RESTRICTION BUT IF DO JUST CANCEL THE APPOINTMENT. THEY PUT IN A WHOLE CC WHICH IS THE MOST THEY HAVE EVER PUT IN. I DID TELL TO BE AGGRESSIVE. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE DISCOMFORT WHEN THE LAY ON THEIR STOMACHS? AND DOES IT USUALLY TAKE 2 PEOPLE TO DO A FILL TO YOU. THEY ALWAYS HAVE 2 PEOPLE DO MY FILLS BECAUSE I AM DIFFICULT TO GET IN THE PORT.

WISH ME LUCK EVERYONE.

They have a hard time getting to my port too, Speed Racer. I am short waisted. So the port tries to hide up under my ribs I believe.
The Dr. usually does it by himself.
The last fill I had was on June 11th. He put 1.2cc in. I still have good restriction.
I had my surgery 1 year ago today. I LOVE IT!!
I went to buy me some new Jeans for the trailride this weekend because all I had are falling off of me.
I was so shocked, I tried on a 13, and they were to big, so I am in a 11/12. Yipppppeeee!!! I couldn't believe it. So I even bought me a new pair of boots!! Just to celebrate.
I washed and dryed the jeans when I got home, and when I went to hang them up I just couldn't believe that those small jeans would go over these legs and butt! I am so excited!!
I just keep losing more inches than lbs. That's fine with me. Like my Dr.s nurse said, " If she could wear a size 10 and weighed 300lbs, she wouldn't care what the scales said.
Thanks everyone for listening to me, I really don't have anyone to share the good news with around here. My Family really didn't like the idea of the surgery, and when I can't eat like they do, they think I'm going to be sick. So I really don't say much to them.

I would like to join this group. I have been banded for almost two years in feb. I have only lost about 60 pounds. I have been exercising for 8 months. Five days a week at least an hour and have not lost one ounce. In fact I have gained 10 pounds. Does that get me in the club? I sure could use some help and support.. Sharon

Sharon, you need to change your exercise around. The past couple of months I have been working with a trainer. He insists that you have to shock your body constantly by always changing the routine.

What are you eating? I have a very slow metabolism and I don't lose anything unless I stick to 800 calories per day plus exercise.

I am a SLOW LOSER

I do realize that I am probably eating more than I should. I think I am eating around 1100 a day. I will try the 800 and when you say mix up the exercise. What do you mean ? Like no weights on one day or a week of cardio and no weights. Did I mention I am a slow learner tooo!!!!!!HAHA

im going to go back and start doing FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal again. i have an ongoing account with them (its free) and it does help me keep realistic account of my intake. also knowing that im listing everything keeps my head in the right direction. I knowwhere my biggest problem is though:
lets say it together shall we?
ready?
::::: excercise :::::::::
my activity levels since coming back to maine a month ago have been NIL. nada, none, zero, zip.
ive tried doing the dr recommended thirty minute walk a day, for a couple of days, and i cant find enough layers of clothing to make it warm enough to go out there. Thats my excuse. i cant get around that one little excuse. its cold. too cold.
my house is even cold. i have a small bubble of warmth in my living room that i wont circulate out of. so..its me and my fat dog stuck on the couch of perpetual lethargy in our bubble of warmth.
i leave in NINE DAYS to go to galveston island for the entire winter. :D
nine. 9. one more after eight, and one less than ten. Niiiiine...tomorrow itwill be eight. day after that, it will be SEVEN...

I was down to 212 which was a 50 lb loss but I have regained. I had no insurance coverage for fills since 1/1/07. I had a 3.8cc fill in December. I am sure that has all evaporated by now. What happened? Failed infertility treatments, depression....I can't afford to pay out of pocket for fills so I have this tool I can't use.
