| Wanting to get pregnant
Hello,
My name is Lillie. I have been a member for about eight months. I was banded in February and I have lost 80 lbs. My husband and I want to start having kids really soon. Does anyone have any views or experience on this? I want to get pregnant maybe by the end of the year. Is this good or not? I have talked to my doctor, but would like to hear first hand experience if possible. Thanks!!

I am not banded just getting started but my dr said to wait at least a year so I think your goal in fall is good. you will be well over a year. He said other than that there should be no problems. Jill

I waited about a year and a half before getting pregnant. Everything went great in the pregnancy!

My surgeon said I could start trying as soon as I was healed from surgery if I wanted to. LOL But she said that if I wanted to lose some weight beforehand, that a one year goal was a good one to shoot for.
