I'm in the nausea/sickness stage too. What's working for me is milk. Actually I don't like milk, so I've been drinking chocolate milk or Ovaltine. It has really helped. Also, Saltine crackers in every corner (my car, office, bedside table)

losing, don't worry, it only lasts so long then it will pass. It did for me anyway. ginger snaps sounds real good though. hope you feel better. you are so inspiring to me.

I lucked out. No morning sickness at all. I didn't even have nausea. Nothing. (knock on wood)
But if I had, I would have gone for starchy foods in the am (acid absorbers), and peppermint tea. Peppermint is a natural remedy for nausea and stomach irritation. Try some peppermint tea, and/or sucking on a peppermint candy when you feel bad.
They also have things at Babies R Us I've seen called "Preggy Pops" or "Preggo Pops" that a few friends of mine rave about. I never really looked into them, I just remember seeing them there.

Oh yes - ginger. A company called "Ginger People" makes natural dried and candied ginger that's great. Ginger is one of the better cures for motion sickness (medications don't fix you, they just help you be unable to puke). Fresh ground ginger in some oatmeal might be nice as well, and there's always ginger tea.

Mine was so bad I had to take Zofran. What made it worse was when I got hungry so I made sure to keep a little bit of food in my stomach at all times. Saltines were good, also, strangely, fit newtons. I threw up so much I could eat anything I wanted! It was horrible but there was a sick comfort in being able to eat ice cream without guilt because if my zofran had worn off there was a 99% chance it was coming back up. Still I was afraid to eat but so starved I couldn't stop myself.

oh dear, its getting worse. this morning, i made an attempt to cook breakfast for DD & DH.. french toast with cinnamon raisin bread.
HUGE MISTAKE... i was woozy and 'sweaty' as i was starting DH's, had to sit down in front of a fan, got up, dummy me tried again and had dry heaves for 10 minutes...
i did force myself to eat some of the cinnamon bread (not french toast), just to hopefully quell the queasies... hopefully it worked.

i used to get that rancid taste in my mouth that you first mentioned. i had to carry a toothbrush and toothpaste in my pocketbook at all times. when i got that disgusting taste in my mouth i would have to brush not only my teeth but the inside of my cheeks, the roof of my mouth, my gums and my tongue. then while my mouth felt fresh i could eat something. its crazy all the things you go through while pregnant. you just have to find out what helps you.
