What is a "fill"?

Hi everyone, just floating around the boards ...

what exactly is a "fill"? Is that when they tighten the band? I've read a few thread where some of you have said you "feel tight". What does that mean?

No problem, the first thread really gives a good overview of the whole system.

It is when the doctor injects saliene into the port into your stomach and thereby fills the band, tightening it.
