Eat before a fill? Need quick reply!

I will have my first fill today and have to travel 2 hours to the Doctor.

I didn't think to ask about this until last night and now it's too late.

I have a 1:00 pm. appt. of course I want to eat at 11:30.

Does it make a difference if you eat or not?:hungry: I tried to search the answer and it kept coming back that I didn't use enough words for my search!!!

Great Success to ALL!

I have been told not to eat two hours prior to a fill. But I am sure like everything else - all doctors are different.

Hope that helps!

I have eaten right before a fill. Call your doc and ask what they recommend!

My doctor also says no food 2 hours before a fill. When I've flown for my fills, I've gone straight from the airport to the clinic. So far, I've been able to eat lunch on the plane (I swear, how they have a flight that leaves at 9AM Eastern and lands at 10AM Pacific qualifies for "lunch" instead of breakfast is something I haven't figured out yet.......) and still stay w/in my 2 hour "no food" window :)

Lost 40 pounds then had to have removal - band was 100% fine, but had other complications.
