I was banded 3-18-08 in TJ by Dr. Ramos Kelly. I was forced to wait on this local doctor till May 9 08 to do my first fill. He said he gave me 1cc. I waited another 6 weeks. This is the earliest they would do the second fill. I went in for my second fill & he said he only gave me .6cc I had no restriction at one cc. But he also said that the .6 cc brought me back to 1cc. First of all, how do you loose that much fluid in that short amount of time. I do understand you might loose it over time, but not .6cc in 6 weeks. Second, If it wasn't working at 1cc before, why wouldn't he bring me to a higher cc, and third, I called 5 days after my second fill and told them I still had no restriction. They now want me to go get an upper GI because I was banded in TJ. They do not like this. The saline taken/injected was crystal clear, which would lead me to believe everything is intact. They're trying to say my port may not be attached. Why would I an Upper GI? I have no Insurance, and this doc is taking me to the cleaners.
Any advice??????????
PS. I haven't lost any weight since 3 weeks post op. I lost 18 lbs. & gained back 4-5 lbs since then.
